Count simultaneous playback, not installed apps
The standard Golden OTT personal plan lists one active connection. Installing a player on a second device does not by itself establish another permitted simultaneous stream.
Three different counts can be confused
A household can own several devices, install more than one player and still have an account allowing one active connection. Hardware count describes what you own. Installation count describes where software is present. Active-connection allowance describes simultaneous service use under the confirmed account terms.
| Situation | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| One device, one active source | The intended player and account route |
| Two devices, only one intended to play at a time | The permitted move/profile process and any pairing requirement |
| Two devices playing concurrently | Terms for an additional active connection |
| A renewal test while another session is still playing | Close the other session before diagnosing a limit |
| A player licence used on another device | The player’s own licence/pairing terms, separately from service access |
Make a controlled device move
Identify the working account and preserve the private setup instructions. Confirm the new device’s operating system, compatible player and account method. Stop the existing active playback before testing the new route, rather than creating an accidental concurrent-session comparison.
Ask support whether the particular account needs a pairing or portal-registration change. Do not assume every player uses the same process simply because the service term is unchanged. A MAG portal, an active-code build and a server-login profile can have different steps.
Keep additional use and a longer duration separate
The four published personal terms each list one active connection. A twelve-month term changes the duration and total, rather than establishing more simultaneous playback. Ask for the terms of any additional concurrent connection before paying for a plan around that need.
A separate third-party player licence can also have its own device conditions. Confirm both questions: which service allowance is being issued and which licence or pairing arrangement the chosen player needs.
When a limit appears during a test
- Record the exact app and visible message.
- Close other active playback sessions using the same account.
- Retest the intended device and one named reference source.
- Keep the account route, player and connection type unchanged during that comparison.
- If the issue remains, report the time and private account reference to support.
The next check should distinguish a connection allowance from an expired account, rejected sign-in or source-specific failure. Avoid resetting a working player before establishing which state is actually shown.
Choose a plan around the actual requirement
Use the subscription comparison for full USD totals. Use the compatibility map for platform scope. A one-day trial request after player installation gives an opportunity to test the intended setup, without automatically changing the account allowance.
