Three separate questions
A programme guide tells you what is scheduled. Clock handling tells you when that entry appears. Catch-up needs an actual archive route for the selected source and account.
A guide is metadata, not video
A player can show channel names without programme entries, and live video can work while the guide is empty. Check one known guide channel and one affected channel before replacing the profile. A list refresh and a guide refresh can also be separate actions in the installed player.
Match the channel identity
Guide entries need to correspond to the intended channel/feed. A national network, regional affiliate and language feed can have similar labels but different schedules. Record the exact affected identity and the supplied guide route privately instead of adding an unrelated public feed.
Keep dates with the clock
Compare the normal device clock, player guide setting and organiser’s published timezone using full dates. An overseas programme can cross midnight locally. One incorrect listing does not establish a global offset. Apply a supported guide adjustment only after a consistent discrepancy is established.
Check the archive separately
A past programme label does not create replay access. Confirm that the exact channel, account, player and time window expose a supported archive. A live source, highlights programme and on-demand episode are different resources, even when their names match.
Follow the observed branch
Use the native device guide for the actual controls. TV remotes, phone touch input, desktop applications and receiver portals do not share one universal menu path.
