Check whether sound, playback controls and the programme guide still work. A black picture with sound needs a different comparison from a source that never starts.
Identify the state you can actually observe
The television can display the player menus while failing to show one video. That differs from a blank television input, a player that has closed, or a source stuck at its loading screen. Establish which layer is still responding before touching the account.
Check the visible layers
Return to the player menu and open a known reference source. If the whole device interface is missing, check the selected display input and the device’s own output before treating the symptom as a Golden OTT account problem.
Record the audio state
Note whether speech or music continues and whether the timeline moves. Compare another supplied rendition of the same item where available. Keep the selected audio output unchanged during this video comparison.
Make a reversible playback change
Only if the player exposes a supported decoder option, record the starting value and change it once. Restore it if sound, subtitles or navigation regress. An option available in one player is not a universal menu instruction for every build.
A worked comparison
An illustrative result is: menus visible, audio audible, reference channel visible, affected film black on one rendition. That narrows the report to the film/rendition and local video path. If neither the menu nor the device home screen is visible, the display/input path must be resolved first.
Choose the applicable platform route
Use the native setup guide for the actual device. The links below identify platform context; they do not certify a particular player build on that hardware.

Avoid an inconclusive reset
Do not reset the subscription or buy another player licence solely because a picture is black. Do not assume that a “4K” category proves a decoder or display is receiving native 4K video.
What to include in a private report
Menu visibility, sound state, timeline behaviour, exact source/rendition, display connection and any one reversible decoder change.
Send the report to Golden OTT. Omit passwords, complete private playlist URLs, activation keys and device identifiers from public captures.
