Use the same source and player for a controlled comparison. First establish whether the pauses affect one source, every source, or only one connection path.
Identify the state you can actually observe
A loading spinner before video opens is not the same observation as a programme that plays for several minutes and then pauses. Note whether sound and picture stop together, whether playback catches up, and whether the interruption recurs after a similar interval. Those details help separate source loading, sustained delivery and local playback behaviour.
Establish a reference
Choose one ordinary source that normally opens and the exact source that pauses. Run each separately on the intended device. Do not open a second simultaneous session as a comparison: the standard personal account permits one active connection.
Change the connection path once
Pause household downloads. Where the hardware supports it, compare a wired connection with the existing Wi-Fi path, keeping the source and player unchanged. A phone speed test beside the router does not measure the television’s own connection.
Compare load without confusing quality
If an alternative rendition is supplied, record its exact label and compare it separately. A lower-rate source working can suggest a load-related difference; it does not establish that the original source is defective or that a labelled resolution is its native format.
A worked comparison
Suppose one channel pauses on Wi-Fi and on a supported wired connection, while a reference channel stays stable on both. That is useful evidence of a source-specific difference. If both channels improve only on the wired path, the local radio path deserves attention. Neither observation, by itself, identifies the failing server or proves the internet provider is blocking traffic.
Choose the applicable platform route
Use the native setup guide for the actual device. The links below identify platform context; they do not certify a particular player build on that hardware.

Avoid an inconclusive reset
Do not change DNS, add a VPN, reinstall the player and alter the decoder in the same test. With four changes, an improvement cannot be attributed to one cause. Avoid promising a universal Mbps threshold: actual source rates and concurrent household traffic vary.
What to include in a private report
Interruption timestamps, reference and affected source names, connection path, selected rendition, device and player build.
